Garth Brooks gave woman his guitar pick 30 years ago. Now, she gets his guitar

For 30 years, Jessica Cloukey saved a coveted guitar pick given to her by famous country musician Garth Brooks.

Presented with the opportunity on Saturday, May 21, at a concert in Massachusetts to take back that pick, Brooks upped the ante.

“Bangor, Maine 1992: I’ve saved your guitar pick for 30 years! Need it back?” a sign Cloukey was holding at the Gillette Stadium concert read.

Brooks noticed the sign and told Cloukey she could keep the pick. He then gave her his pick from that night’s show, plus the capo he was using.

But Brooks wasn’t done.

“Oh you know, maybe one more thing,” Brooks said as he presented Cloukey with his guitar.

“I’ll see you again in 30 years, OK?” Brooks told the overwhelmed Cloukey.

Cloukey shared an additional video on Facebook that showed Brooks signing the guitar and sharing an embrace with his adoring fan after the concert.

“Bucket list was to see Garth as close to the stage as possible,” she said on Facebook. “This surpassed anything I ever imagined.”
