North Texas teen safe after Amber Alert; ex-boyfriend wanted in kidnapping case
Police are looking for a 20-year-old suspect who is believed to have kidnapped his 17-year-old ex-girlfriend Saturday in Garland.
Police said Yadhira Monserrat Medina is safe at home as of Sunday afternoon, but the incident remains an active investigation.
At about 8:30 p.m. Saturday, witnesses saw Medina being dragged against her will into a white Ford or GM pickup truck with tan or silver trim in the 3200 block of West Buckingham Road, according to a police press release.

Witnesses recognized the suspect as Medina’s ex-boyfriend, David Emanuel Maldonado. Witnesses then saw the vehicle, which was driven by another person, drive westbound on Buckingham Road, according to police.
Police have an active warrant out for Maldonado, according to Star-Telegram media partner WFAA-TV.
Maldonado is a Hispanic male with brown eyes and black hair. He is 5 feet, 7 inches tall and about 160 pounds.
