Fort Worth Zoo brings Halloween celebration back this weekend

Frights and candy are coming back to the Fort Worth Zoo for Halloween this year.

Boo at the Zoo, held Oct. 29, 30 and 31, will bring back themed entertainment, animal shows and Halloween candy to the Fort Worth Zoo.

Guests and members will each receive six tickets for candy, each ticket redeemable for four pieces of candy at treat stations throughout the zoo. Tickets are $16 for adults and $12 for children. Additional six-packs of treat coupons can be purchased for $3.

Treat stations will be set up from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. all three days. The zoo also has special themed events planned for those three days, including transforming the carousel and Yellow Rose Express park train into spooky Halloween attractions.

Costumes are encouraged, but everybody aged 13 and older will need to make sure their faces are not obscured by masks or heavy makeup.

The Fort Worth Zoo has more information on tickets, events, rules and expectations on the event website, FortWorthZoo.org/boo-at-the-zoo. The zoo also has a schedule for special presentations on some of its nearly 7,000 animals during the events on that website, under the “Keeper chats” section.
