'It was a dream': Kourtney Kardashian reminisces on beachside engagement to Travis Barker

Congratulations are in order for the eldest Kardashian sister, Kourtney Kardashian.

A rep for Kardashian, 42, confirmed the news of her engagement to boyfriend Travis Barker after months of dating.

The "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star and the Blink-182 drummer made things official this year after Valentine's Day and have been inseparable ever since, sharing candid photos of vacations together and intense PDA and tattooed expressions of love on social media. They made their carpet debut at the MTV VMAs in September.

Now, the two are taking their relationship to the next level: down the aisle.

Barker, 45, popped the question by the beach, where he elaborately laid out dozens of roses in the shape of a heart with candles surrounding the two lovebirds.

On Sunday night, the Poosh founder shared photos from the intimate engagement on Instagram, writing: "forever @travisbarker."

On Wednesday, she shared more photos from the special day. "I woke up all night thinking it was a dream," she wrote.

"Forever with you is a dream come true," Barker replied to her in the comments.

On his own Instagram account, Barker also shared more photos of the two with Kardashian commenting: "My favorite person in the world, my fiancé."

Barker's daughter Alabama Luella Barker took to Instagram Sunday to congratulate her father and Kardashian on their engagement, writing: "So happy for you guys, I love you both!" His son, Landon Asher Barker, congratulated the two and said "I'm so happy for you guys, love you guys so much!"

The "KUWTK" star's friends and family congratulated her in the comments.

"IM SCREAMING," wrote Addison Rae.

"Ahhhh congratulations," commented Winnie Harlow.

"MY WIFE IS GOING TO BE A WIFE," wrote Stephanie Sheperd.

Kardashian's younger sister, Kim, commented ring and heart emojis under her post and shared a video of the couple kissing on her Instagram Story with Bruno Mars' "Marry You" song playing in the background. Kim also closed up to her sister's ring finger, revealing an oval-cut engagement ring.

Sister Khloé commented: "I love you my beautiful sister."

Kris Jenner took to Instagram to congratulate her daughter and Barker. "Congratulations to the most beautiful, adorable, fabulous, made for each other couple in the world! Love you guys!!!!!"

Since the two began dating, they've never held back when it comes to showing each other off on social media.

In August, Barker shared a photo of him and Kardashian embracing in front of an airplane with the caption, "With you anything is possible."

"Anything and everything with you," Kardashian responded.

Barker was previously married to actress Melissa Kennedy from 2001 to 2002 and to model Shanna Moakler from 2004 to 2008, with whom he shares two kids: Alabama, 15, and Landon, 18.

Though Kardashian has never been married, she shares three kids with her ex-partner Scott Disick. The two share daughter Penelope Scotland, 9, and sons Mason Dash, 11, and Reign Aston, 6.

Kardashian and Disick dated on and off from 2006 to 2015.

Barker opened up about his whirlwind romance with Kardashian in a Nylon interview published Sept. 8, revealing the moment he agreed to travel around the world with her after suffering from PTSD due to a 2008 plane crash he was involved in.

"I made a deal with her that she had just said to me, 'I would love to do so much traveling with you. I want to go to Italy with you. I want to go to Cabo with you. I want to go to Paris with you. I want to go to Bora Bora with you,'" he recalled.

"And I said, 'Well, when the day comes you want to fly, I'm telling you I'll do it with you. I would do anything with you. And just give me 24 hours notice.' And that's what she did."

Barker said he wouldn't have gotten on an airplane again if it wasn't for Kardashian's support.

"It's still something very new to me, but having something that gives me the strength and hope to be able to overcome things that were so traumatic in my life, it just says a ton," he said. "She's definitely that for me. I'm invincible when I'm with her. It's just like I never dreamed, I never even considered flying again."
