Food waste is real. Oftentimes there are already-existing solutions to help prevent you from wasting food. But when in doubt, Food Huggers can help you reduce tossing out food and finish the produce you started with.

What’s great about Food Huggers is that they’re not just for plopping on top of cut fruits and vegetables. You can also use them on open cans and jars that you otherwise wouldn’t be able to properly store back in your fridge. Not to mention, Food Huggers feature a pack of five lids for every size of food in your cabinet.

Another thing to note about these nifty food savers is that they’re sustainable. The brand uses recycled materials, and these babies keep your foods and half-used produce sealed in. Plus, with how thick they are, you don’t have to worry about them ripping or tearing. You can also easily store these away because the smaller Food Huggers fit into the larger sizes. If you’re particular about your kitchen aesthetics, you can shop the Food Huggers in several different hue categories.

The Food Huggers are an Amazon Choice product for reusable silicone food savers. Plus, with almost 5,000 reviews and a 4.4-star rating from shoppers, the set is clearly useful for saving space on food storage. One customer even explained how these are “so much less bulky” than traditional food storage savers.

“I love these,” the customer wrote. “So much less bulky than using Tupperware and also better than using Ziploc bags. I will be ordering more for myself and also for everyone for Christmas. The one size is also perfect for putting on open cans of vegetables, cans of pop or even open yogurt containers.”

While these save space and offer a plastic-free alternative, another shopper, who left four stars, explained that they work best when you have the right size for each piece of produce.

“They fit perfectly over the top of Fage yogurt cups, which come with tops that cannot be replaced after they are opened,” the shopper explained. “That said, you do have to have the proper size for each piece of produce or it doesn’t work great, and since sizes of lemons can vary greatly, for instance, it can be hit or miss.”

If you’re hoping to save that other half of a fruit or vegetable, this might be your food rescuer.
