Folsom lane closures due to sewer improvement project to persist through 2023

The city of Folsom has implemented daytime lane closures through the middle of 2023.

The lane closures, which started Tuesday, will allow the city’s environmental and water resources department and its contractor, McGuire & Hester, to perform sewer improvement work including replacing and relocating sewer infrastructure, according to a news release from the city.

Lane closures on Natoma Street will take place between 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays, the release said.

The city said motorists should allow for extra time when traveling through these areas during construction hours. To aid, flaggers and message signs will be used to direct traffic.

The city warns the work may cause some noise disturbances. The work is expected to be completed by the spring or summer.
