Florida is the fourth best place in U.S. for drag brunches. How are we not No. 1?

When it comes to drag brunches, Florida slays. Or so we thought.

Yes, to say we were slightly insulted when a recent study by online retailer Nasty Gal ranked Florida No. 4 out of 15 of the most fun loving states in the entire country is an understatement.

Believe it, with such local hot spots as The Palace in South Beach, we assumed we were No. 1. But nooo. Taking the top slot in this study? Maryland. We repeat: Maryland! The next two we get, totally: New York and Louisiana (well, New Orleans, obvio).

Since the rise in popularity of shows like “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” drag brunches (flamboyant, loud, over the top entertainment with your eggs and Bloody Marys) have become a thing.

The folks behind this, um, report looked at a few factors including number of four- and five-star reviews, how long the brunch lasts, and the amount of bottomless drinks they serve.

Again, we thought the Magic City had this in the bag as a supreme destination for enthusiasts of the wild weekend outings.

The queens return to Ocean Drive as their Palace struggles to stay open

At the aforementioned Palace, queens twerk, leap into full splits and bend body parts you never knew existed, all in mega high heels. But that Ocean Drive mainstay wasn’t even in Nasty Gal’s thoughts.

The R House in Wynwood at least came in No. 6 in the study’s ranking of drag events. Remember when “The View’s” Ana Navarro had her bridal shower there in 2019? Guests Gloria and Emilio Estefan even participated in the crazy conga line. These days, your stars wear masks and face shields but the party there still rages like the pre-COVID era.

Yasss, queen.
