Florence Pugh offers exciting update on MCU’s Thunderbolts
Florence Pugh has provided an exciting update for Thunderbolts, the upcoming film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The superhero film follows Bucky Barnes (Sebastien Stan) as he leads a team of antiheroes who embark on missions for the government, with his crew including Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen) and John Walker (Wyatt Russell).
The MCU entry also sees Pugh, David Harbour, Olga Kurylenko and Rachel Weisz reprise their respective roles from Black Widow, but the film has endured a hectic production as its release date was eventually pushed back to 2025.

Pugh, however, has offered an exciting update during the press tour for Dune: Part Two, telling Entertainment Tonight that filming has begun on Thunderbolts after a series of unfortunate delays in production.
“I feel so honoured that I’ve been able to basically do the most bizarre press tour for both movies [Dune: Part Two and Oppenheimer] at the same time I've just started my next movie,” she said. “I managed to squeeze this one in, so I feel very grateful that I've managed to juggle all of them at the same time.”
Whilst fans may have to wait longer to see Pugh as Yelena Belova again, the star will be on the big screen as Princess Irulan in Dune: Part Two when it releases later this week (March 1), with the actor speaking exclusively to Digital Spy about her desire to work with Zendaya again.

“We’ve admired each other for a while,” said Pugh. “By the time that we got to meet, it was well due time. We didn’t get to act with each other a lot, but it doesn’t matter. When you work with people that you admire [and] look up to, it’s always a wonderful experience.
“You hope it’s wonderful, and in this case it was. And it made us excited for the next bit, potentially, whether that’s in this storyline or outside of this storyline… We definitely built quite the appetite after this press tour because we’re just desperate.”
Thunderbolts is scheduled to be released in cinemas on May 2, 2025.
