Flooding Seen in Key West Hours Before Hurricane Ian Makes Landfall in Florida

Heavy rain and wind hit Florida’s Key West on Tuesday, September 27, as Hurricane Ian approached the peninsula.

The National Hurricane Center warned Ian could bring life-threatening storm surges, catastrophic winds and flooding to the peninsula.

Multiple counties across Florida were placed under evacuation orders. During a press briefing on Tuesday Gov Ron DeSantis encouraged residents of those regions to evacuate and provided further information about resources available to them.
