FKA twigs, Bella Hadid and Emily Ratajkowski Walk for Miu Miu SS23

Miu Miu's Spring/Summer 2023 showcase at Paris Fashion Week was always going to be something special. Given the rise of the brand's now iconic mini skirt set plus brand ambassadors like Sydney Sweeney, it's no surprise that Miu Miu's SS23 runway show was as highly anticipated as it was.

An exploration of reactions to reality and the transfer between feeling and response, Miuccia Prada's latest collection offered a fusion of menswear and womenswear styles, as "a challenge to convention and an embracing of our new reality," according to the show notes.

From preppy to sexy and everything in between, the collection utilized classic garments like tailored jackets and coats and offered an alternative approach. Through layering cottons, silks and cashmeres and punctuating with accents of leather and washed denim, each look exuded a certain rawness, complete with visible logos on waistbands and headbands. Completing the collection was a clean range of footwear, comprising toe-exposing boots and flatforms in black, neon green and vivid orange.

Miu Miu SS23 also debuted a collaboration with artist Shuang Li, who took over Paris' Palais d'Iena venue to immerse guests in a digital reality, including a soundscape by musician Eli Osheyack. "Always I want to expand Miu Miu, to open up, through our casting, through collaboration with artists. That is another translation, the notion of translating different ideas into the world of fashion, of engaging with different creative spheres, enriching each other. It mirrors the exchanges and communications of life," explains Prada in a press release.

The showcase saw Paris Fashion Week poster girl Bella Hadid walking the runway, alongside Emily Ratajkowski and FKA twigs, who closed the show.
