Drakulich, a first-chair trial lawyer known for her work litigating patent and complex intellectual property disputes, succeeds Kurt Glitzenstein, whose seven-year leadership of the litigation group resulted in an impressive record of complex, high-profile IP wins. Since April 2020, Drakulich has partnered with Glitzenstein in the leadership of the practice group, serving as the managing group leader.
"Corrin is an accomplished litigator and has built a practice focused on exceeding client expectations. That, coupled with her talent for leadership, energy, and vision, is an exceptional combination," said John C. Adkisson, president and chief executive officer of Fish. "Corrin leads by example; with her leadership I have no doubt that our litigation practice will build upon and expand its reputation for cultivating legal talent and delivering exceptional client service."
Drakulich is an experienced trial lawyer who concentrates her practice on complex intellectual property cases, with a particular focus on life sciences. Drakulich’s long track record of success includes a 2022 Hatch-Waxman trial win for Exela Pharma Sciences related to its Elcys® drug product for preterm infants and a favorable settlement on the eve of trial for The Johns Hopkins University on the first patent matter the institution initiated under its own rights. Most recently, she secured complete summary judgment victories in parallel federal and state cases on behalf of payroll and workforce solution provider Proliant, Inc., in matters involving copyright infringement, trade secret misappropriation, breach of contract, and fiduciary duty claims, wiping out the plaintiff’s $270 million damages request and winning her client the highest attorneys’ fees award of record for a copyright case in the District of Minnesota.
Within the firm, Drakulich has held several leadership roles, including as an elected member of the firm’s management committee and as a co-chair of the firm’s professional development subcommittee. Prior to that, she was the recruiting principal in the Atlanta office.
"By any objective measure, Fish’s trial experience and results are unparalleled," said Drakulich. "We achieve those results by leveraging our exceptionally deep bench and training, focusing on and nurturing the development of our best and brightest younger colleagues, and by working together collaboratively with the single purpose of delivering best–in-class client service. I’m thrilled to lead this exceptional team of attorneys and legal professionals."
In addition to her practice, Drakulich engages in pro bono work, most recently volunteering with Lawyers for Good Government, an organization that aims to protect equal rights, equal opportunities, and equal justice under the law. She also dedicates time to the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation, representing survivors of domestic violence in hearings to obtain protective orders to shield clients and their families from future violence.
Drakulich received her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, where she served as the editor-in-chief of the Berkeley Technology Law Journal.
Drakulich is partnering with Chris Dillon, who has been named managing group leader, a position that focuses on training, mentoring, and creating opportunities for the next generation of great Fish trial lawyers.
As the leadership of Fish’s preeminent litigation practice, Drakulich and Dillon will oversee a deep bench of top trial lawyers who are experienced in all litigation forums and who have vast technical knowledge of industries ranging from electrical and computer technology to life sciences, transportation, and energy and chemicals.
