First trailer for Ayo Edebiri's 100%-rated new movie Omni Loop
Ayo Edebiri's upcoming sci-fi film Omni Loop has dropped its first trailer ahead of its September release in the US.
The movie from Bernardo Britto, who wrote, directed and co-edited it, is a time loop adventure packing an emotional punch.
Mary-Louise Parker stars as protagonist Zoya Lowe, a woman who's told she doesn't have much time left to live after doctors find a black hole in her chest. Zoya is revealed to be able to hop through timelines whenever she takes a pill and decides to enlist the help of lab scientist Paula Campos.

After an understandable moment of disbelief, Paula is happy to oblige, confidently announcing she and Zoya can solve time travel.
The trailer includes a montage of the duo involved in calculations and experiments before Zoya sighs out as she says, "We've tried everything, and still I can't do it."

Whether Zoya will manage to complete this nearly impossible feat remains to be seen, but it seems she will learn a thing or two about herself as she goes back to relive key moments in her life.
The cast for Omni Loop is rounded out by Edebiri's The Bear co-star Chris Witaske, Barbie's Carlos Jacott and Ozark actor Harris Yulin, as well as Hannah Pearl Utt and Steven Maier.
Edebiri has another exciting project in the works, as she recently joined the cast of Luca Guadagnino's new star-studded moral thriller After The Hunt.
The film also features Julia Roberts, Andrew Garfield, Michael Stuhlbarg and Chloë Sevigny, with Roberts playing a college professor whose life and career reach a turning point when a brilliant student makes an accusation against one of her colleagues.
Omni Loop is released in US cinemas on September 20. A UK release date is yet to be announced.
