Your First Look at the Upcoming Jacquemus x Nike Collaboration

Nike and Jacquemus have joined forces for the ultimate celebration of female athletes, fusing Nike's performance expertise with Jacquemus' signature fit.

The collection sees both labels come together for a collection of minimal sportswear, reimagining some of the Swoosh's most iconic silhouettes and techniques including DRI-Fit fabric and the Humara sneaker. The partnership aims to redefine the term "Ready-to-Wear" for a new generation of sportswear lovers, with an elevated and integrated approach to apparel, unisex footwear and accessories.

"For this collaboration with Nike, I wanted to create a collection that reinterprets athletic women’s sportswear in a minimal way," says Simon Porte Jacquemus in a press release. "I have always been inspired by vintage ACG pieces and Nike campaigns from the '90s. Having this imagery in mind, we designed women's athletic wear with sensuous details and neutral colors, along with my own interpretation of the Humara -- my favorite Nike shoe," he continues. "It was important for the collection to be accessible, for all bodies, and to be a natural blend of Jacquemus style and Nike performance."

Nike's VP of Catalyst Apparel Design Jarrett Reynolds adds, "With Jacquemus, we drew from vintage ACG inspiration, the interweaving of Nike DRI-Fit fabric, and considered footwear like the Humara, to create a nexus of sport and style that could only be done through the shared lens of Nike x Jacquemus. Collaboration at Nike, and with partners like Jacquemus, allows us to expand the culture of sport and redefine it for the next generation."

News of the collection comes after speculation of a Jacquemus collaboration in 2020 and again in September 2021. For the French label's Winter 2021 campaign, it paired knit dresses and cardigans with Swoosh-branded sneakers in black and white.

Jacquemus x Nike launches on June 28 exclusively on the Jacquemus website and across global Nike retail stores this summer.
