Hulu on May 7 released the first images of James and Stan dressed as the former couple for its upcoming limited series "Pam & Tommy," which the streaming service says is based on "the true scandal that started it all": Anderson and Lee's sex tape.
The first photo shows James in Anderson's signature bleached-blond hair, dramatic smoky eye makeup and a body-hugging leather getup similar to her iconic look in the 1996 film "Barb Wire."
James shared the photo on her Instagram alongside a quote from Anderson that reads, "It’s great to be blonde. With low expectations it’s very easy to surprise people."

In another photo, fans also get a look at Stan as the Mötley Crüe drummer, complete with dark black hair, a nose ring and his infamous "Mayhem" stomach tattoo. The photo shows James seductively biting one of his nipple rings, in addition to the "Baywatch" star's notorious barbed-wire arm tattoo.
Social media collectively agreed the duo looked "spot on."
"Woah!! This is such a transformation! Amazing!" commented actress Karen Gillan, who knows a thing or two about transformations from playing Nebula in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Twitter user @ezwrites added, "I mean, give the makeup artist who turned Lily James into Pamela Anderson an Emmy already."

"Pam & Tommy" is an eight-episode limited series directed by Craig Gillespie and produced by Robert Siegel and DV DeVincentis, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Anderson and Lee are not involved in the series.
Seth Rogan will star as Rand Gauthier, the man who stole Anderson and Lee's sex tape in 1995 and sold it. Rogan's costume, however, is not as edgy.
"My co-stars, Sebastian and Lily, are a lot cooler than I am," he captioned a picture of his look.
Anderson and Lee tied the knot in 1995 and divorced in 1998 following a tumultuous relationship. Anderson has said "the rock-star thing became very destructive."
"I didn't know what I was doing. I just kind of became that thing," she told Elle in 2014. "The hair, that rock-star kind of lifestyle, just living a dream. It kind of took over. It started out very innocent and then I turned into a cartoon character. And I started to feel like a cartoon character."
Anderson and Lee share sons Brandon, 24, and Dylan, 23.
"I don't know if they've seen (the sex tape), but they know about it," Anderson told Elle. "They know about everything. Stupid Internet. I don't know why everyone is so impressed with it."
