Lily James has shared the first look at her upcoming movie about the creation of the dating app Bumble.

Swiped is a biographical film following the life of Bumble CEO and founder Whitney Wolfe Herd, who James plays alongside Dan Stevens as her business partner.

The actor shared three stills from the film to her Instagram profile: one of her in a yellow outfit giving a speech, another of her in a Bumble jumper looking at art on a wall, and a final one of her sitting at a messy desk, deep in thought.

"#itsyourmove You heard it here first," she wrote in the caption, alongside a quote attributed to Herd: "Feminism is not about girl power. It's about equal power."

As well as starring in it, James is producing the project, while Rachel Lee Goldenberg directs on top of co-writing the script.

Herd, who was also a co-founder of the Tinder dating app, set up Bumble in 2014 and became the world's youngest female billionaire when the app went public. She stepped down as Bumble CEO last year.

Swiped is expected to be released in 2025 on Disney-owned streaming service Hulu in the US. It hasn't been announced where it will be available in the UK at the current time.

Meanwhile, James has been announced for a horror film called Let the Evil Go West, which serves as a reunion with her Pam & Tommy co-star Sebastian Stan.

The project is set to follow a railroad worker who "stumbles upon a fortune under deeply disturbing circumstances" and soon starts to see "horrifying visions and manifestations" that "drive him toward madness."
