Disney has released a first look at Freaky Friday 2, as the movie along with the live-action Lilo & Stitch get release dates.
The long-awaited sequel to the Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis classic, officially titled Freakier Friday, is coming out on August 8, 2025. That's 22 years (and two days) after the first one.
The release date was announced in a post on Disney's Instagram account, alongside a photo of Lohan and Curtis clasping their faces in horror, referencing one of the most famous bits of the first film.

Meanwhile, the live-action remake of Lilo & Stitch will be released on May 23, 2025, which will put it up against the next Mission: Impossible movie.
The film tells the story of "the bond formed between a lonely human girl named Lilo and a dog-like alien named Stitch, who is engineered to be a force of destruction".
Marcel the Shell with Shoes On's Dean Fleischer Camp directs, while the cast includes newcomer Maia Kealoha, The Hangover trilogy's Zach Galifianakis, and Game Night's Billy Magnussen.
A handful of actors are returning from the original animated version, including co-director Chris Sanders, who will once again provide the voice for the adorable yet mischievous alien Stitch.
Freakier Friday will be released in cinemas on August 8, 2025, while the live-action Lilo & Stitch will release on May 23, 2025.
