Yahoo Movies Fire rages on ship off Sweden for over four days
Several Helicopters and ships have been fighting the fire and are continuing to pour large amounts of water on the part of the cargo which is on fire.
According to the Coast Guard, the fire is inside the load, which consists of tightly packed wood, and is not visible from the outside. This means that the water cannons cannot reach it directly.
The fire has not spread to other parts of the cargo or to the ship.
The crew of 17 people have not been evacuated from the vessel Almirante Storni which, according to Refinitiv Eikon data, sails under the Liberian flag.
The Coast Guard said all the services involved were prepared for an effort that could still go on for several days.
