We Finally Know Name of Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas’s Second Daughter
The name of Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas’s second daughter has been revealed amid the former couple’s ongoing legal battle over their kids.
In custody filings obtained by Page Six, Sophie and Joe reportedly call their one-year-old daughter Delphine. She was previously referred to as D. in a lawsuit filed by Sophie over Joe's alleged “wrongful retention” of their children in the United States.
Sophie and Joe welcomed Delphine in July 2022. They are also parents to three-year-old daughter Willa.
Page Six notes that Delphine’s name “was included in recent court documents in which Sophie asked a judge to put her divorce from Joe on hold until they figure out the custody of their children.”
Last week, Sophie filed a lawsuit against Joe for “the immediate return of children wrongfully removed or wrongfully retained.” The court documents claimed that Joe is in possession of the kids’ passports, but “refuses to return the passports to the Mother and refuses to send the children home to England with the Mother.”
A representative for Joe later responded to the lawsuit in a statement issued to People, claiming that the Florida court, where Joe filed his divorce proceedings, “has already entered an order that restricts both parents from relocating the children.” Subsequently, the rep claimed “Joe [would] be in violation of the Florida Court order” if he handed over the passports to Sophie.
Earlier this week, the two agreed to keep both of their children in New York as they finalize the details of their custody agreement, according to documents obtained by People.
Sophie and Joe, who tied the knot in 2019, confirmed the end of their marriage via a joint statement shared to social media on September 6.
“After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage,” the message read. “There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”
