Final Destination: Bloodlines has cast Star Wars duo Max Lloyd-Jones and Rya Kihlstedt.

The Hollywood Reporter originally broke the news, with names like Brec Bassinger (Stargirl), Teo Briones (Chucky), Kaitlyn Santa Juana (Dear Evan Hansen), Richard Harmon (The 100) and Anna Lore (Gotham Knights) also shooting the franchise's sixth instalment in Vancouver right now.

Lloyd-Jones portrayed Lieutenant Reed in The Book of Boba Fett, and Kihlstedt turned up as The Fourth Sister in Obi-Wan Kenobi.

No plot details for Bloodlines have been publicly released, yet back in 2020, producer Craig Perry exclusively told Digital Spy that the all-new horrors might unfold in the world of first responders.

"These people deal with death on the front lines every day and make choices that can cause people to live or die," he said.

"We rely on their good judgement, expertise and calm demeanour. So why not put those people in the nightmare situation where every choice can bring about life and death – but now for themselves? We're thinking that world might be an interesting way into a Final Destination movie, and one which can also generate unique set pieces in a very credible way."

Final Destination creator Jeffrey Reddick also shared with DS that Bloodlines won't necessarily be a reboot, despite it not tying in with the fifth movie.

"I've been talking to Craig, and the concept behind it is unique. I think reboot is probably too strong of a word, it makes it sound like they're going to change everything, but it's definitely a Final Destination movie," he revealed.

"Craig is the master of coming up with crazy openings and set pieces. He's told me a couple of things that happen in this one, and it's going to be a lot of fun. It's not going feel like cash-grab Final Destination film."

Final Destination: Bloodlines hits cinemas in 2025.
