Ferne explains taking daughter to visit her dad in jail

Ferne McCann has opened up about taking her daughter to visit her dad in prison, saying her priority is making sure she does "the right thing by Sunday".

Arthur Collins was ordered to serve 20 years behind bars and an additional five years on licence in December last year after being convicted of 14 charges for carrying out an acid attack at Mangle E8 night club in Dalston, London.

The former TOWIE star was pictured visiting her ex-boyfriend in prison with their daughter, who she welcomed in November last year, and Ferne has explained how she came to that decision, including how she spoke to a child psychologist and a lawyer about it.

"Every single decision I make is made with her best interests at heart," Ferne told OK! Magazine.

"One day she'll be old enough to decide what she wants to do for herself, but until then I have to do what I think is best based on the guidance I've been given. My only priority is making sure I do the right thing by Sunday."

The presenter also clarified once again that she and Arthur Collins are absolutely not a couple, adding: "Of course we're not still together. He's the father of my child and that's the end of it."

Ferne has been documenting her experiences through pregnancy and being a mum in ITVBe show First Time Mum, and recently defended herself from her friend Billie Faiers' fiancé Greg Shepherd after he accused her of being "disloyal" for promoting a rival show to Billie's The Mummy Diaries.

"That whole situation was completely blown out of proportion," Ferne explained. "I promoted Charlotte [Crosby]'s show because she asked me to, I hadn't realised The Mummy Diaries was on at the same time.

"Charlotte tweeted and cleared everything up, which was really sweet of her. Billie is one of my best friends, I will always support her. I'm really looking forward to their wedding."
