Police have released a CCTV image of a missing woman who vanished while walking to her south London home on Wednesday night.
Sarah Everard, 33, left a friend’s house in Clapham at around 9pm, heading for her home in Brixton, the Metropolitan Police said.
In a statement, her family said: “With every day that goes by we are getting more worried about Sarah.
“She is always in regular contact with us and with her friends and it is totally out of character for her to disappear like this.
“We long to see her and want nothing more than for her to be found safe and well.
“We are so grateful to the police and all our friends for all they are doing. We are desperate for news and if anyone knows anything about what has happened to her, we would urge you to please come forward and speak to the police.
“No piece of information is too insignificant.”
Ms Everard spoke to her partner en route but has not been heard from since that point, friend Rose Woollard told the Brixton Blog.
She said her phone signal was picked up last near Clarence Avenue, between her home and where she left another friend.
Ms Everard was last seen wearing a green waterproof jacket, navy blue trousers with a white diamond pattern and white trousers.
She is described as 5’4, blonde hair and of slim build.
Detective Chief Inspector Ian Kenward said: “Sarah’s disappearance is completely out of character and understandably her family and friends are incredibly worried.
“We are also growing increasingly concerned for her welfare and have officers working round the clock to try and find her.
“I would ask anybody who was in the Clapham Common area on Wednesday night to think about whether you saw Sarah or any suspicious activity around the time of her disappearance.”
Many have taken to Twitter in a bid to support the police’s efforts in finding Ms Everard.
“One of our co-workers at Turbo has a loved one missing in EMEA. Please help us out by sharing and liking to spread the word and picture of Sarah Everard, who went missing at 9pm local time on Wednesday, around Brixton,” tweeted one user.
Another tweeted: “Let’s #pray for the safe return of Sarah Everard missing in #Lambeth

Ms Woollard described her friend as “beautiful, thoughtful and incredibly kind”, saying: “Sarah and I met many years ago whilst studying together at Durham University.
“She has always been an exceptional friend, dropping everything to be there to support her friends, whenever they need her.
“It was only recently that she was telling me the good news about her new role as a senior marketing account manager, which she was excited to start.
“It is extremely uncharacteristic of her to have gone missing, which is why we are all deeply concerned something has happened to her”.
People who may have footage or were in the following areas are being urged to check cameras: the A205 South Circular around Clapham Common, Cavendish Road, New Park Road, Brixton Hill and Brixton Water Lane.
Anyone with information that could help tracking Sarah down is being urged to call 999 quoting reference 21MIS006196.
