A fast-food chain featuring dough bits may be coming to Florida. What’s on the menu?
Is there room for another doughnut and coffee place in South Florida?
Is that a silly question, or what? Bring it on.
And that’s exactly what Tim Hortons is looking at: the possibility of bringing Timbits and other goodies to South Florida, and joining Dunkin’, Starbucks and all the breakfast-serving fast-food chains already here, including its corporate brother Burger King.
The Canadian chain, which also has locations in the U.S., is a bit shy on saying outright they are on the way. But executives and civic leaders say it’s a possibility.

So if Tim Hortons returns to South Florida (it had a brief life in the 1990s in Broward), what can eaters and drinkers expect?

Timbits (doughnut nuggets): Honey dip, glazed, plain, sour cream glazed, chocolate glazed, sour cream glazed, birthday cake
Doughnut sampling: Chocolate dip, Boston cream, sour cream glazed, Easter flower
Lunch/Dinner
Sandwiches: Ham and cheddar, BLT, grilled cheese
Bowl: Chili with ground beef and beans, chipotle steak
Chicken: Strips with sweet ‘n sour, honey mustard or barbecue sauce
Salad: Caesar or garden
Sides: Potato wedges, soup
