In today's round up of completely random things we never expected to happen, two very British (yet completely opposite) icons came together in an interaction that has sent fans into a spiral. Who are we talking about? Adele and Jo Frost, aka Channel 4's Supernanny. Yep, we told you is was random.

ICYMI, earlier this week, Adele was forced to cancel her Las Vegas residency at the very last minute. She took to social media to share the heartbreaking announcement with her fans, visibly upset and in tears as she broke the news. Speaking to her 48.8 million followers, the singer apologised profusely for cancelling her residency, but admitted the show had been "absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and COVID."

In the comments section, some unhappy fans (many of whom had already arrived in Las Vegas for the show) shared their disappointment, while others offered support to the Easy on Me singer. Among those offering support to the star was Jo Frost – who made a name for herself as Supernanny on the hit Channel 4 series, which saw her put some of the nation's naughtiest kids on 'the naughty step'.

"Adele WE ARE IN A PANDEMIC," Frost commented on the post, which has been viewed more than 12 million times. "Now go get some sleep, have a hot bath and a glass of cold Sancerre seriously before I put you on the naughty step! Big hugs Jo aka Supernanny xx."

It wasn't long before the comment was noticed by fans, who understandably, lost it. "Living for Adele being consoled by Supernanny Jo Frost," wrote meme account Hunsnet. "Adele, you guys are in a crisis, I’m on my way" wrote one fan, referencing Frost's iconic catchphrase, while someone else said: "This is so cute! I need her to console me too."

A third follower commented "Totally ASSEPTABLE Adele" – referencing another v iconic Supernanny moment.

We are so here for this friendship.
