Fans Have an Interesting Theory About Ariana Grande's Engagement Ring

In case you missed it: Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez are officially engaged. The singer announced the exciting news with a post on Instagram showing off her enormous ring with the caption, "forever n then some."

While Denis Stepansky, an online retailer of luxury jewelry told Entertainment Tonight that the ring – which features a diamond and a pearl – is likely worth somewhere around $200K-$250K, fans have another theory about its origin.

Back in 2014, Grande posted about a pearl ring given to her by her Nonna. According to her post it once belonged to her grandfather. "nonna had a ring made for me w/ the pearl from grandpa's tie pin. she says he told her in a dream it'd protect me," she wrote at the time

Eagle-eyed fans quickly pointed out that the pearl situated next to the diamond on her new ring looks very similar to the one she posted from her nonna.

Whether or not the ring is part heirloom, Grande's family is reportedly thrilled about her engagement. A source told People, that her parents "couldn't be happier, they're just so excited."
