Fans Deliver Large Elon Musk Statue to Tesla Headquarters in 'Goatsgiving' Event

Creators of the cryptocurrency Elon GOAT delivered a large statue of bilionaire Elon Musk to Tesla’s headquarters in Austin, Texas, on November 26, in an event they dubbed “Goatsgiving”.

The statue, which consists of Musk’s head on the body of a Dogecoin dog riding a rocket, cost $600,000 to build, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Elon GOAT’s website states that the statue was made in honor of Musk’s “contribution to cryptocurrency.” GOAT stands for greatest of all time.

“We believe that Elon’s potential acceptance of this biblical sized gift could catapult $EGT into the limelight and accelerate its various initiatives,” their website reads.

Musk has yet to acknowledge the gift publicly.

DANNY WANG: Initially, when we got approached to design this project, it was supposed to be a sculpture and I thought this sculpture being transferred all different places is kind of difficult. So what we did was we decided to come up with this concept of being a trailer. This thing actually tilts down. The back rocket actually shoots out fire.

So we just kind of created this sort of as a meme. I love memes. I love Elon and his memes. So we thought creating this thing [? towing ?] to the Gigafactory would be really hilarious. So hopefully tomorrow, we're gonna do that and he'll be there to accept it.

This thing has got-- you know, built like the SpaceX rocket. We got a propeller that works in the back. It's lit up a night. We got this head very, very made realistically by Kevin Stone, and the body and the-- and the rocket is made by Spectacle in Phoenix. So [? for ?] us over most of this year, that's been-- that was being put together and tomorrow, finally, we're gonna deliver it to Gigafactory.
