The claim: Dominion lost its lawsuits against Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell
Social media posts asserting the 2020 election was "rigged" and "stolen" have not stopped circulating more than a year after President Joe Biden was sworn into office.
Many of those claims centered around Dominion Voting Systems' voting machines, which were used in 28 states in the 2020 presidential election.
After the election, Sidney Powell and Rudy Giuliani, onetime lawyers for former President Donald Trump, spread false information alleging the voting machines had been used to help rig the election. In January 2021, Dominion brought defamation suits against both lawyers.
A May 10 Facebook post, a screenshot of a tweet, claims that effort has failed. The post said, "Dominion LOST their law suits against Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell."
The Facebook post accrued nearly 800 shares in two days.

The lawsuits have been ongoing for more than a year
Dominion Voting Systems, the manufacturer of voting machines used in 28 states, has been the focus of many false claims since the 2020 presidential election. The company has been accused of rigging the election and tampering with ballots, claims that has been repeatedly debunked by fact-checkers.
Dominion filed a $1.3 billion defamation lawsuit against Powell in January 2021, citing her repeated claims that the company changed votes for Trump to votes for Biden. Dominion also filed a $1.3 billion defamation lawsuit against Giuliani the same month.
The lawsuits have been ongoing for more than a year, and Court Listener shows the cases are still open. A March scheduling order from the federal district court shows a series of deadlines for discovery and pre-trial motions extending into fall 2023.
