Footage of the wreckage of the Titan submersible was released to the public for the first time amid hearings on the vessel's destruction in North Charleston, South Carolina on September 18. The Titan's tail section and a piece of its carbon hull can be seen in the North Atlantic Ocean, sitting on the ocean floor at a depth of 2.36 miles near the wreckage of the Titanic.

A suspected thief was caught trapped inside a Corvette by the car’s surprised owner in Miami Beach, Florida, on Monday, September 16.This footage recorded by Julio Solano shows the moment he approached his car only to find the man trapped inside.A shocked Solano can be heard saying: “My brother, this is not your car. This is my car.”The suspect, 33-year-old Ravesh Rabindranauth, gestured for Solano to open the door, to which Solano responded: “No you can’t get out. We’re calling the cops.”According to the arrest report for Rabindranauth, cited in local media, the suspect had been unable to get out of the car due to “an unconventional door mechanism he could not figure out.”Rabindranauth was eventually freed from the car and arrested, the footage shows.He was charged with burglary of an unoccupied conveyance, according to local media. Israeli strikes hit multiple targets in Lebanon
Israeli jets and artillery hit multiple targets in southern Lebanon overnight, Israel's military said on Thursday, amid spiralling tensions following the mass attack on Hezbollah communications devices this week. The military said air strikes hit Hezbollah targets in Chihine, Tayibe, Blida, Meiss El Jabal, Aitaroun and Kfarkela in southern Lebanon, as well as a Hezbollah weapons storage facility in the area of Khiam. Israeli media reported that a number of Israeli civilians had been wounded by anti-tank missile fire from Lebanon but there was no official confirmation.

UniCredit has Germany's trust, won't go hostile on Commerzbank, CEO tells paper
UniCredit was able to buy 4.5% of Commerzbank from the German state because the government trusts the Italian bank, its CEO said in a newspaper interview, ruling out any "aggressive" moves such as an unsolicited buyout bid. UniCredit CEO Andrea Orcel told Italian daily Il Messaggero his bank had been speaking with the German government for a while. "The German government has sold UniCredit a 4.5% stake in Commerzbank because it sees it as a reliable and suitable investor," he added.

Ukraine says it downed 42 drones, one missile in Russian attacks overnight
Ukraine's air force said on Thursday it had shot down all 42 drones and one of four missiles used by Russia during overnight attacks. Air defences went into operation in nine Ukrainian regions, the air force said in a statement on the Telegram messaging app nearly 31 months after Russia's full-scale invasion. Serhiy Lysak, the governor of the central Dnipropetrovsk region, said the air force had shot down one missile over his region, and that no one was hurt there.
