Exclusive: Emmerdale star Daisy Campbell responds to Amelia and Noah split

Emmerdale star Daisy Campbell has spoken to Digital Spy about her character Amelia Spencer dumping Noah Dingle.

Amelia decided to end things with Noah in Wednesday night's episode (March 29) after discovering that he'd agreed to his cousin Samson's blackmail demands.

Noah parted with thousands of pounds when Samson demanded payouts to stay away from his baby daughter Esther.

Although Amelia was shocked by Samson's blackmail, she also felt betrayed by Noah for going behind her back.

Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy about the split, Daisy revealed: "I think Amelia feels torn! It's one of those situations where you know that it's bad for you, but you want them still.

"Amelia has worked so hard on the relationship and they'd got to such a great point. Noah has helped out so much with Esther, and he's given her money from his trust fund.

"There's such good points to Noah, so it hurts Amelia deep down to walk away. But I think she's also very headstrong and she knows what she wants.

"Especially now that she's got a child – she doesn't want that negativity or those lies to come between her and her daughter, because she's got someone else to think about now. But it was definitely a hard decision for her to make."

Asked about a possible reunion, Daisy replied: "I hope they can get back together, because they definitely come across great on screen – well I think they do anyway!

"Noah is very good with Esther as well. I hope that Amelia and Noah do get back together."

The show's latest episode also saw Samson face a backlash as his father Sam was disgusted by his deceit.

When Samson showed no remorse for his behaviour, Sam decided to kick him out of the Dingle house.

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.

    The Indian arm of global asset manager Invesco has settled charges of mutual fund rules violations with the country's market regulator, according to a settlement order uploaded on the regulator's website on Wednesday.
