Yahoo Movies Every Westworld season has a secret title – here's s2's
Jonathan Nolan has revealed that each season of Westworld has its own individual title.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the showrunner said that cast and crew of the HBO series use an unofficial title for every season, which they refer to on set.
As well as unveiling what the unofficial title of the first season was, Nolan has also given us season two's name – and like pretty much everything else in Westworld, it's a potential clue of things to come.
"We think of our seasons as discrete components in the series, to the point where we've named our seasons," Nolan said.
"The first season was called 'The Maze'. The second season is called 'The Door'."
He added: "If the first season was a journey inward, this is a journey outward.
"This is a search for what is else is beyond the park, and what else is in the park. Are there more parks? How big is the park? What's beyond the park?"

'The Maze' was of course a crucial part of the first Westworld season, with the Man in Black (Ed Harris) trying desperately to reach its centre only to learn that no such thing existed, and the maze was actually a metaphor for human consciousness.
Based on the title 'The Door' and Nolan's other comments, we can expect a literal and/or metaphorical door to appear during season two, perhaps leading to one of the five other confirmed Delos parks such as Shogun World.
So, what else do we know about season two?

Well, we know it will premiere on April 22 and be simulcast in the UK and US.
We also know MIA season one regulars Stubbs (Luke Hemsworth) and Hughes (Shannon Woodward) will be back, as Nolan recently confirmed they are both still alive and lost in the Westworld park.
Hopefully 'The Door' will at least give us some answers about what the hell they have been up to.
Westworld returns to HBO in the US on April 22 and Sky Atlantic/NOW TV in the UK on April 23.
