Following Santiago's birth, Eva began to work with celebrity trainer Grant Roberts, focusing on "very serious weight training," like wide-grip lat pull-downs, spinal twists, and deadlifts, she told Us Weekly.

Even though the new workouts took some getting used to, she wanted to be able to keep up with her little boy. "It’s honestly just being committed to a goal. I wanted to get back in shape for my son," she said. "It’s hard! It’s a lot of work with children. I’m exhausted. But just to stay in shape and be the healthiest me I can for him."

Eva also made some adjustments to her diet, like cutting carbs, alcohol, and sugar. "I haven’t drunk wine. I haven’t eaten sugar. I haven’t seen a carb in awhile," she said. "But once I get to Cannes and finish the red carpet, then I’ll be indulging a lot."

These days, her diet is all about variety — last month, she told Women's Healththat she's been spending time in Mexico, and enjoying traditional dishes like chilaquiles—fried tortillas, salsa, and toppings like beans and cheese—and huevos rancheros for breakfast. Lunch is often homemade pasta or chicken tacos, and since she eats lunch late (around 4 p.m.), dinner is usually a light soup. The best part? She enjoys cooking. "I’ve been cooking for 20 years and I may not be a chef, but I’m a really good cook," she told WH.

Get it, Eva!
