The Three Lions currently sit on four points from their opening two games in Group D - a 1-0 win over Croatia followed by a goalless draw against Scotland.
Results in Groups B and C mean that England are guaranteed to finish as one of the four best third-placed teams at the tournament.
Finland finished third in Group B with three points, while Ukraine collected the same tally in Group C - and that means England are mathematically through to the last-16.
While that news will ease some of the pressure on England before Tuesday’s game against the Czechs, the Three Lions will still be expected to win and top the group.
A draw would send England through in second place, but that may end up securing them a more favourable last-16 draw.
The winners of Group D will face the team that finishes second in Group F, which could be one of France, Germany, Portugal or Hungary.
If England finish second, they will face the winners of Group E, which will be one of Sweden, Slovakia or Spain.
