Emu-ve Outta the Way! Leisurely Strolling Emu Backs Up Traffic on Alabama Highway

A leisurely strolling emu was spotted backing up traffic in Odenville, Alabama, on October 4.

While on the way to work in slow-moving traffic, Amanda Howard recorded video of a car overtaking an emu casually walking along Highway 174.

“I had to get this on video because no one would believe it,” Howard told Storyful. “When I finally passed him there was at least 20 more cars behind me waiting to get around him.”
