Emma Watson just wore ripped skinny jeans to Fashion Week

I think it's safe to say that skinny jeans have had a rough time lately. Rather than peacefully fading into the background, like other trends, the denim staple has become a symbol of sorts - a point of contention between Millennials and Gen Z. No matter where you sit on the 'skinny Vs slouchy' denim debate though, we can all agree that folks should be able to wear whatever they want (and, feel amazing while doing so). Now, in an unexpected turn of events, Millennial icon Emma Watson has just gone and made the case for the return of skinnies at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week. And what a time to be alive.

This week, Emma attended the Schiaparelli show looking approx a million bucks. In the snaps, the Harry Potter alum wears a statement cropped blazer by the designer, complete with oversized lapels. Emma layers the jacket over a crisp white shirt, with the open collar poking out from underneath.

Then there are the jeans. Perfectly offsetting the high fashion situation up top, the 32-year-old goes for a pair of faded black skinny jeans with a rip situation beneath one knee. Now, these aren't the extreme 'spray-on' style we came to associate with the likes of Panic! At The Disco. But, they are still skinnies, with the style being too fitted to be considered mom or straight leg jeans.

Jaluria notes that investors "will be patient" with Microsoft's big spending on infrastructure as long as the company's AI-related businesses continue to show growth. As to why investors were less happy about Meta's (META) AI spending, Mortonson thinks it may come down to "a game of positioning." "Meta was extremely crowded going into the print. There's some people that, quite frankly, didn't like some of the unprofitable spend," Mortonson says. He believes that Meta is "very attractive" given how hard the stock was hit by its results, but the Microsoft does have a "huge advantage" due to its enterprise business.
