Emily Ratajkowski swaps curtain bangs for XXL bouffant side fringe

The internet (more specifically that watch app aka ⏰ aka TikTok) keeps trying to tell us side parts are 'chuegy'/for outdated cringe millennials/the embarrassing aunt of the centre part. But there's plenty of evidence against and we will go to the highest court to defend the right to part as you please.

Exhibit 'A': Emily Ratajkowski being impossibly hot and cool all at once and making us want to be her bestie. May I draw your attention your honour, to the subject's hair:

Em Rata's enviable dark brown tresses are mostly worn in a centre part with curtain bangs at present, but celebrity hairstylist Jennifer Yepez shook things up. Jennifer has taken Em's parting over to the left and giving her a deep side fringe that stretches back toward the crown, and sweeps sideways across her forehead. The full thick, bouncy bouffant fringe is anything but chuegy.

In terms of recreating the look, using a curling tong for your fringe can be pretty fiddly and risks burning your fingers getting the short hair around the barrel, and burning your forehead (I can vouch, painful and not a good look).

Your best bet is to recreate the look with a hairdryer and round brush, bouncy- blow style, to get all that glorious volume. Another option is giving rollers a whirl – if you opt for classic rollers, they can be slept in (which feels so Marvellous Mrs Maisel) or if you go for heated ones, you can give you a quicker result.

Em paired her side fringe with a touch of side boob, going bare under a cropped jacket, and it's such a look. So my closing statement? Side parts are for hot girls. No further comments your honour.
