If there's one thing Emilia Clarke knows how to do (apart from win shelves full of awards for her critically acclaimed performances, obviously), it's standing up for herself and others.

And the latest example of her taking no prisoners in the best way possible? Her reaction to being given some pretty rude (and unsolicited) advice from her facialist.

In an interview with ELLE magazine, Emilia was asked "What's the worst skincare advice you've ever received?". Her reply?

'I once had a facialist who told me I needed fillers [...] her exact words were, "Then, you can have your face back." At that point I was 28.'

Errr talk about the cheek, the nerve, the gall, the audacity and the gumption.

Anyway, rest assured, Emilia handled the situation like the self-assured pro she is... by asking the facialist to leave. Clarke told ELLE:

'I showed her the door... was literally just like, "get out".'

And to be quite honest, I'm obsessed with this reaction. After all, Emilia's literal job is to emote for a camera, and it's entirely her decision what she does with her face. And while it's everyone's prerogative to opt for filler if they fancy it, it's nobody's place to tell advise others to get injectables.

Emilia also discussed the wider pressure on actors to get filler, telling ELLE 'You hear about all your contemporaries getting it done and you're like, "Does that mean I have to? Should I be doing that?" And then you work on a movie and the director of photography lights you beautifully and you get over it.'

And finally, she had the most reassuring words to share about ageing in general, nodding to her mum as inspiration for admiring the ageing process.

'My mother has never had any work done and I think she's incredibly beautiful. I look to women and actors who are older than me who are f*cking beautiful and I think what your skin does as you age is elegant.'

Well said, Clarke.
