With a new season comes countless celebrity hair transformations – and that’s no exaggeration. This week alone has seen Megan Fox cut her hair shorter for summer, Emma Watson debuting a chic French girl bob, Jodie Comer getting curtain bangs and Kim Kardashian dyeing her hair with blonde and white streaks. Phew, it’s a been a busy few days on the Cosmo beauty desk.

Now, the latest celeb to give us an incredible hair moment is Emilia Clarke. The Game of Thrones star has, of course, had her fair share of transformations over the years. In fact, we were so used to seeing her sport that iconic bleach blonde in her role as Daenerys Targaryen that we almost didn’t recognise her when she was out of character and rocked her natural brunette hair.

Since the show wrapped, we’ve seen the actor with darker hair more and more – though she occasionally switches things up in a very subtle way. For this sunny season, Emilia has added sunkissed honey blonde highlights to the front of her hair, creating the perfect face-framing strands for updos. Case in point, the chic chignon bun she recently sported:

Hairstylist Leigh Keates swept Emilia’s hair back into the low updo but teased out two honey blonde pieces to frame her face for a more textured finish. While Emilia hasn't posted much over the months (and so, we're not entirely sure when these highlights were done), the colour blends seamlessly into her brunette hair and gives the perfect mix of light and dark for summer. It's almost as if it’s actually been lightened in the sun – dreamy.

Basically, this look is a 10/10 all over.
