Elton John Set To Join Kingsman Sequel?

Here’s something of a casting curveball… Elton John is in talks to join the cast of the ‘Kingsman’ sequel.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Rocket Man is circling a spot in 'Kingsman: The Golden Circle’, the follow up to director Matthew Vaughn’s 2014 smash.

It’s not yet known who he’ll be playing, or whether he’d be playing himself.

But we’ll know for sure soon enough, with principal photography on the movie set to start in London any day now.

As with the first movie, Vaughn has penned the The Golden Circle with Jane Goldman, the screenwriter wife of Jonathan Ross.

John would join a burgeoning cast, with Julianne Moore, Halle Berry and Pedro Pascal from 'Game Of Thrones’ on board.

Taron Edgerton will be reprising his role as Eggsy, the lad from the wrong side of the tracks who’s trained up to join a secret spy organisation.

It’s also thought that Colin Firth will be back too as Eggsy’s dapper mentor Harry Hart, despite him being killed in the first movie.

Mark Strong is also on board once again, as spy trainer and quartermaster Merlin.

'Kingsman: The Secret Service’ did massive business at the box office in 2014.

It brought in nearly £300 million from its relatively modest £57 million budget.
