Elton John’s Dallas concerts postponed after singer contracts COVID

Elton John has postponed two shows at American Airlines Center in Dallas after contracting COVID-19.

John, 74, was scheduled for shows tonight and Wednesday as part of his farewell tour.

Make-up dates are expected to be announced soon.

“Fortunately, Elton is fully-vaccinated and boosted, and is experiencing only mild symptoms,” a message to fans reported. “Fans should hold on to their tickets as they will be honored at the rescheduled dates to be announced soon. Elton and the Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour look forward to returning to the stage shortly.”

Shows scheduled Saturday in Little Rock, Ark., and Oklahoma City for Saturday and Sunday and a Tuesday show in Kansas City have not been altered.

John played two shows at Toyota Center in Houston on Friday and Saturday.

The tour dates, which were originally set for Summer 2020 but postponed because of the pandemic, kicked off Wednesday in New Orleans.
