Elizabeth Olsen Debuted Dark Hair and Curtain Bangs At the MTV Movie and TV Awards

Elizabeth Olsen has gone over to the dark side — the Avengers star was certainly a vision on Sunday at the MTV Movie and TV Awards.

On the red carpet, the actress showed off new brunette locks — which also have an auburn tint depending on how the light hits them — and tied them up in a a pretty bun. She also debuted some new shaggy curtain bangs that were left out of the updo. Her hairstylist Mark Townsend said they decided to go with some fresh curtain bangs for Olsen's first in-person red carpet of the year.

"Tonight, Elizabeth is wearing one of the most popular styles to come out of the pandemic — a top knot and freshly cut bangs. Bangs are truly a style on their own — you can throw your hair into a messy bun or a top knot and if your bangs are styled, you are red carpet ready," Townsend tells us. "That's what we were going for tonight, a glam yet relatable look at Elizabeth's first in-person award show in the last year."

The star paired her new 'do with an adorable black rhinestone jacket and skirt combo by Miu Miu. The jacket top buttoned down the center and featured ivory satin cuffs at the end of each sleeve. She finished the look with some simple yet chic black, pointy-toe pumps and a dark pink lip.

Olsen received the awards for Best Performance In a Show and Best Fight for her part in the popular Disney+ show WandaVision, which also received the award for Best Show, beating out other smash shows of 2020, including Bridgerton and Emily in Paris.

Last month, the actress stated that when she was little and starting her career, she didn't want to be "associated" with her sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

"I guess I understood what nepotism was like inherently as a 10-year-old," she told Glamour UK. "I don't know if I knew the word, but there is some sort of association of not earning something that I think bothered me at a very young age. It had to do with my own insecurities, but I was 10. So, I don't know how much I processed, but I did think, 'I'm going to be Elizabeth Chase when I become an actress.'"

However, Mr Revell has refused to budge and hit back at her claims. He claims they are each entitled to one acre, meaning that Angela is currently encroaching by taking half an acre more than she is entitled to. For nearly 30 years the two families have been at loggerheads, but Southern Derby Magistrates Court has now ruled in favour of Mr Revell with a judge ruling his adversary had lied about putting up a fence. Following the verdict, Angela said she was "appalled" while Ian said it was only right as he claimed the plot had been in his family for years. Angela has levelled the land she believes she owns and placed the good soil inside her boundary for further use for the land. She has also now claimed Mr Revell trapped the top soil in when he moved the fence. She uses the land for her animals, including four rescue pigs.
