EastEnders spoilers follow.
EastEnders has revealed more on Sam Mitchell and Shirley Carter's shock new alliance.
Sam had orchestrated the entire thing to scare Kat and Sharon, but admittedly didn't intend for it to go as far as it did.
Believing that Sam saved her life, Kat (Jessie Wallace) has agreed that her former nemesis can run the nightclub without any interference, and also allowed her to move into Phil's house.
However, when Shirley (Linda Henry) learned from Dotty the CCTV had been switched off before she even arrived, it didn't take her long to work out what had really happened.
Realising that Sam was behind the entire scam, Shirley threatened to reveal all – unless Sam complied with her demand.
Shirley insisted that she would keep quiet about the robbery, on the condition that she received a cut of all future profits of the Michell business empire.
Next week's episodes will see Shirley continue to put pressure on Sam, wanting in on her scheme to stitch up Sharon and Kat.
Shirley is impressed by Sam's latest plan, and demands a cut.
As Sam puts the final pieces of her plan into place, Kat is left horrified when another threat is sent via Tommy.
Sam then offers some advice, ostensibly to protect Kat and her family.
Spurred on by Sam, Kat later visits Phil in prison and drops a bombshell. But is all as it seems?
EastEnders airs these scenes next week on BBC Two. All episodes will be able to watch on BBC iPlayer from 6am on Monday, July 4.
