EastEnders' Rocky Cotton to spark concern in gambling story
EastEnders spoilers follow.
Rocky Cotton is set to spark concern in scenes set to air next week in a new gambling storyline ahead of his exit from EastEnders.
Things haven't been easy lately for Rocky, who was recently blackmailed by his ex-wife Jo before getting kicked out of his home with Kathy when Ian Beale returned to Walford and decided to move in with partner Cindy.
In upcoming scenes, Rocky has to stall Kathy when she questions why his share of their loan repayments isn't in her account. Thinking quickly, he lies and blames Jay, sying that he forgot to pay him his wages. However, he secretly heads to the bookies with Harvey to try to win the money.

Harvey later sees Rocky heading to the bookies again and confronts him over his concerns that he's going too often. Rocky laughs it off and tells him it's just a bit of fun, but he goes yet again later on to place a larger bet where the stakes are even higher on its return.
Whilst Harvey is jealous of Rocky's seeming good fortune placing bets on horses, he becomes increasingly worried as he realises just how often his friend is going to the bookies. When he challenges Rocky again, he's not convinced when Rocky declares he won't go back.
As if to prove the point, Rocky is approached by Dorian with a proposition to place bets on an upcoming boxing match, with the promise of a large win. What will Rocky do?

This storyline will precede Rocky's exit from the soap, after Brian Conley confirmed that he will be leaving EastEnders later this year.
He took to Instagram following the announcement saying: "I have gone with their blessings at the Beeb and I'm excited about the future and where it's going to go. And I'm also excited about Rocky's exit because I know it's good. So I'm sending you much love — all EastEnders fans."
EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer.
