EastEnders may have aired a shock exit for Jane Beale on Friday, but Ian isn't letting her go so easily.

The show's latest episode ended with Jane (Laurie Brett) crumbling under the pressure of Max Branning's threats by making an emotional departure from Walford, pretending that she wanted a fresh start all by herself.

It was only as Jane left the Square in a cab that she was able to be honest with Ian, leaving him a voicemail admitting that she still loved him and he couldn't trust anyone.

These brand new pictures from next week show Ian's mum Kathy (Gillian Taylforth) grow concerned for him as he frantically tries to track Jane down and get her back.

Ian (Adam Woodyatt) remains oblivious to the fact that Max has orchestrated everything, but with the stakes higher than ever, will he be able to find Jane? Or has she really gone for good?

Over on Hollyoaks, these new pictures show the moment that Mac Nightingale causes carnage at the school.

Mac (David Easter) will be the cause of this year's huge autumn stunt, which will leave lives hanging in the balance at Hollyoaks High.

The fearsome pub landlord loses control when he catches his terrified partner Neeta Kaur (Amrit Maghera) at the school, where she's been having another secret meeting with her teenage lover Hunter McQueen.

Turning nasty yet again, Mac drags Neeta off to the school boiler room, hitting the boiler in anger and unknowingly loosening a valve.

When Mac sees that Hunter has given Neeta a romantic drawing of them both, he spitefully sets fire to it – causing an earth-shattering explosion when the flames hit the gas which is leaking from the boiler.

The horrifying incident comes just as a school prize-giving ceremony is taking place in the building, putting several characters in the firing line.

As well as the local teens, others caught up in the carnage include Luke Morgan, Darren Osborne, Sally St Claire and Louis Loveday.

Hollyoaks boss Bryan Kirkwood has exclusively told Digital Spy that at least one character will be killed off in this storyline, so who won't make it out alive?

Coming up on Coronation Street, Pat Phelan finally ends weeks of mystery by telling Andy Carver about his replacement.

Phelan (Connor McIntyre) has agreed to give his prisoner his freedom, in return for Andy keeping another unknown person trapped down in the cellar.

So far, Phelan hasn't told Andy (Oliver Farnworth) who he's planning to switch him with – but Monday night's double bill sees him reveal all.

Phelan reiterates that he's sticking to their plan, meaning that the new prisoner will be Andy's responsibility from now on.

Andy is shocked as Phelan spills the beans on who he's planning to kidnap and how this person has wronged him. Will it be Vinny Ashford, as hinted on Friday? Or is another of Phelan's enemies about to pay the price for crossing him?
