EastEnders confirms Linda Carter fate after Janine Butcher's scheme

EastEnders spoilers follow.

EastEnders has revealed Linda Carter's fate after Janine Butcher's latest scheme.

The feud between Mick Carter's estranged wife and current girlfriend reached new heights this week, after Mick agreed to go to AA meetings with Linda.

Janine grew increasingly jealous of Mick spending time with the mother of his children, so she approached Linda with an offer of £50K to leave Walford for good.

Linda took Janine's offer seriously after demanding more cash, as she started secretly making plans to leave Walford in Thursday's (May 19) episode.

Zack figured out what Linda was doing as she made her final preparations, then warned her that if she left again, her daughter Nancy wouldn't forgive her.

Later, at the Vic, Mick was arranging a movie night for Janine and her daughter Scarlett and Janine was surprised to see Linda turning up for a shift behind the bar.

Now scoffing at Janine's attempt to bribe her, Linda announced she'd be running the bar for the night! As Janine quietly demanded her money back, Linda had the last laugh

"What money? Hmm, I don't recall," Linda declared with a knowing smile.

As Janine warned her rival she's making "a very big mistake", Linda turned the knife: "What are you going to do? Got to police? I've got a better idea. Why don't you go upstairs and tell Mick you gave the mother of his children 50 grand to leave and never see them again."

Linda then insisted: "You listen to me. I'm staying, for good. There is nothing in this world that could make me leave my children, not 50 grand, not alcoholism and certainly not you!"

Janine was left stewing over the duff-duff for this latest episode.

EastEnders airs on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One and streams on BBC iPlayer.
