E-sports are in season. Biweekly Super Smash Bros competitions start in Pasco

The city of Pasco and Tri-City Tumble are partnering up to create an E-Sports tournament series featuring the game “Super Smash Bros: Ultimate” on the Nintendo Switch.

The first competition was May 21, but gamers can play in double elimination brackets every other Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Pasco Parks and Rec Activity Center.

Mike Gonzalez, Pasco economic development manager, said in a news release these tournaments allow children to enjoy something fun in a safe place.

There will also be three side events where people can pay $2 to enter.
