Tonight (May 23) was the second episode of ITV's A&E Live, a real-time look inside the accident and emergency department of Leeds General Infirmary.

The series is presented by Davina McCall and sees her talking to patients and staff in the hospital, as well as showing previously recorded footage.

While the programme has led to an outpouring of love for the hard and difficult work done by NHS staff, on tonight's episode it felt like Davina was getting in the way a bit.

Many viewers took to Twitter to complain that Davina wasn't letting patients and staff finish answering the questions she asked.

While it was probably because the show was running on a tight schedule, it was pretty annoying for those watching at home.

However, there were some who praised Davina for being a compassionate and sensitive host.

The presenter even used her own life experiences to help talk to one patient, who had been taken to the hospital after suffering a seizure.

While in the ambulance, the man revealed that he had attempted suicide a few weeks ago, and told Davina: "To tell you the truth I don't even want to be alive anymore."

After hearing the man's story, Davina told him: "I was a heroin addict. It was such a mess, I had nothing. But you can be the master of your own destiny."
