The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are certainly making waves as they go about their royal tour of Ireland.
Though much fuss has been made of the 12-year-old Reiss coat worn by the duchess as she arrived at Jigsaw, the national centre for youth mental health in Ireland, we’re still thinking about the chic padded velvet headband she was wearing as she stepped off the commercial flight from London.
The £69 headband from sought-after designer Lele Sadoughi completed the appropriately green ensemble and added glamour and extra style to the look.
The Duchess wore the look, including a printed silk peplum dress by Alessandra Rich, for the first day of the tour, as the royal couple met with Ireland's President Michael D. Higgins and his wife Sabina Coyne at the official presidential residence Aras an Uachtarain.
But this isn’t the first time the Duchess of Cambridge has donned an oversized headband.
Who can forget when she wore a £17.99 version from Zara to the Festival of Remembrance service at the Royal Albert Hall in London back in November 2019 and a ‘hatband’ to the christening of her third child, Prince Louis.
This latest accessory has had us falling back in love with the headband and so we’ve scoured the internet to find five pretty similar alternatives.
We might not be able to afford a royal lifestyle, but we can certainly stretch to a headband.
