Duchess Meghan talks privacy in new interview clip, appears in maternity photo with Harry, Archie

Hours after their explosive tell-all interview aired on CBS, Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry appeared in a new photograph, in which the former "Suits" star shows her growing baby bump.

Photographer Misan Harriman, a friend of the couple, posted the family portrait on Instagram Monday, a day after the duke and duchess revealed to Oprah Winfrey they are expecting a baby girl. The couple had announced Duchess Meghan's pregnancy on Valentine's Day through a spokesperson, but kept the child's sex under wraps.

"What wonderful news to celebrate on International Women’s Day!" Harriman wrote in the caption. "Congratulations my friends, and welcome to the #girldad club H"

In the black-and-white photo, Duchess Meghan dons a flowing dress and stands barefoot outside with her husband behind her. She holds their son Archie, who turns 2 in May, in her arms above her visible baby bump. The Duke of Sussex, also barefoot, wears a button-down shirt and pants.

In a new interview clip released Monday in "O, The Oprah Magazine," Meghan opened up about the "expectation" that being a member of the royal family means losing out on the ability to have a private life.

"I think everyone has a basic right to privacy," she said. "Basic. We're not talking about anything that anybody else wouldn't expect."

She likened her situation to a colleague at work noticing a photo of someone's child on their desk and then asking for the person's phone to see "all the pictures" of their child.

"You go, 'No. This is the picture I'm comfortable sharing with you,' " Meghan said. "And then if they double down and say, 'No, but you already showed me that one. So you have to show me everything. You know what, I'm just gonna hire someone to sit in front of your house, or hide in the bushes and take pictures into your backyard, because you've lost your right to privacy ... because you shared one image with me.' "

Ultimately, she wants to distinguish between being able to share "parts of their lives" with the public without feeling like they're welcoming the world to dig into every detail they've chosen to keep private.

"There's no one who's on Instagram or social media that would say, 'Because I shared this one picture, that entitles you to have my entire camera roll. Go ahead and look through it,' " Meghan said. "No one would want that. So it's about boundaries. And it's about respect."

Harriman previously shared a different black-and-white image of the couple to celebrate their pregnancy announcement on Valentine's Day. In the image, posted on Instagram, a barefoot Harry sits on the grass with Meghan in his lap, her hand draped over a prominent baby bump visible under her casual maxi-dress. Harriman's hashtags note the photo was shot remotely on an iPad.

Among the many bombshells in their CBS interview, Duchess Meghan alleged unnamed palace officials expressed “concerns” about the color of Archie’s skin during her pregnancy.

"In those months when I was pregnant, and at the same time there was talk about no title, no security, and also conversations about how dark his skin might be when born," she said. Who is saying that? Winfrey demanded. Meghan wouldn't answer, because "that would be very damaging to them." Later in the interview, Harry also refused to discuss it.

Winfrey said Monday on "CBS This Morning" that Harry said neither the queen nor Prince Philip were involved in those conversations.
