Will you drink the hot dog water flavored seltzer a Fort Worth brewery is offering?

The four main ingredients in beer are water, hops, grain and yeast, but one Fort Worth craft brewery is adding in a unique flavor: hot dog water.

Martin House Brewing Company are known for their unique craft beer flavors and this time they’re incorporating hot dog water into a new seltzer called, “Awesome Sauce: Bun Length”. The 5.2% alcohol by volume seltzer will utilize the meaty-tasting liquid left by boiling hot dogs.

The seltzer is tied to the brewery’s “Glizzy Fest” event next month that is all about celebrating the iconic American food. A “glizzy” is slang for a hot dog, made popular by social media jokes over the past few years.

Martin House is hosting “Glizzy Fest” in its backyard on July 16 from noon to 5 p.m. at 220 S. Sylvania Ave. unit 209.

The hot dog water seltzer will be available on draft during the event or in cans at $4 a piece. Only 420 cans of “Awesome Sauce: Bun Length” will be available.

Festivities at the event include a John Cougar Mellencamp cover band, two hot dog and one sausage/barbecue food trucks, a hot dog eating contest, craft vendors and, of course, the launch of the hot dog water seltzer.

The brewery will have 25 beers on tap, including Martin House’s “Best Maid Pickle Mustard” beer. Admission to the event is free and the brewery is selling $15 wristbands at the door that will get you a souvenir “suckin on chili dogs” glass and four pours of beer or seltzer.
