  • In Dr. Pimple Popper's new Instagram video, she helps a patient with a mole and an epidermoid cyst.

  • The patient came in for one mysterious bump, but the doctor saw an opportunity to clear away both.

  • Dr. Pimple Popper used her punch biopsy tool to excise the cyst.

It all starts with a mysterious bump. A patient sees or feels something odd, and heads to the office of dermatologist Sandra Lee, MD, a.k.a. Dr. Pimple Popper. (Or that's how it seems based on her TLC show and patient convos on the 'gram.) Once the patient arrives in the office, then it gets interesting.

Dr. Pimple Popper surveys the bump or growth, decides what she can do about it, and gets to work. That's exactly what happened in her latest Instagram video, as the doc explained in the caption. She wrote: "Mole Removal & Punch Excision of a Cyst. This patient came in to get this ‘bump’ checked out, turned out to just be a mole. While they were there I also found an epidermoid cyst and was able to excise it. #drpimplepopper #cyst #dermatology"

Dr. Pimple Popper takes care of the mole first. She numbs the area and with one scissor snip chops it right off. Fans were hyper focused on Dr. Pimple Popper's hands and her gloves. "How do you determine which hand is the lucky hand that gets to wear the glove?"

Then, she switches gears and takes aim at the cyst. This was hiding under the mole the whole time. Dr. Pimple Popper stretches out the skin and pops it with her punch biopsy tool. She finishes the job by pulling out the whole thing with forceps.

But, there's still more gunk stuffed under the surface. Dr. Pimple Popper squeezes and a snake of goo unfurls before her eyes. Next comes the cyst sac followed by a few stitches to complete the procedure. Talk about satisfying from start to finish.
