What does your father mean to you? Send us your letters for Father’s Day.

In our fast-paced, digital world, the art of writing a letter seems to be vanishing.

But we love the printed word at The Charlotte Observer, and want you to help us keep it alive by submitting a letter to your dad for a special Father’s Day story we have planned.

It can be a letter written to your father celebrating him, or a letter you wish you’d sent him when he was still alive. Tell us what makes him so special and unique, why you’re glad he’s your dad, and what he means to you.

Try to keep it about 250 words, if you can. And we’d love a photo of you and your dad, too.

You can submit it in the Google Form below, or email to news@charlotteobserver.com (make sure to include “Father’s Day” in the subject). Deadline is June 10.

Trust us: It’ll be a better Father’s Day gift than just sending a text that says, “HFD 2 u Pops.”
